Currently Buffalo County is braiding funding from Kearney Public Schools (DHHS federal grant), CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney Area Community Foundation, and other local foundations to build a shared communication platform to share foundational mental health information (see wellness ambassadors) with access to main mental health resources. The Violence Prevention Coalition is lead on this work and meets monthly. They are also bringing in partners to involve 'health relationships' language and action oriented next steps to help residents to hope and healing. A resource website was built in 2020 to support those looking for mental health resources, this current work is determining the next iteration of the sharing of these resources. A marketing campaign in is process through a contract with FireSpring. In 2025, the Coalition expect to roll out the shared community messaging and resources around hope and healing.

CFP's workgroup related to increasing capacity and quality of childcare providers includes multiple team members who work with childcare providers, ESU staff, early educators and more. Through their work with childcare providers and those who were in process of becoming licensed, they heard of multiple barriers providers-to-be were faced. Thus, the team invited newly licensed providers (newly licensed during calendar year 2023-2024) who were willing to speak with the DHHS Childcare Licensing Advisory Committee about the barriers they experienced to potentially impact policies and procedures at the state office. We prepared for newly licensed childcare providers for this Zoom meeting by teaming them up with First Five Nebraska's, J.R. Giron. J.R. worked with the team, listened to the barriers they experienced and guided providers on best wording to use with committee. CFP's Coordinator along with two childcare providers spoke to the licensing advisory committee in January 2024. This work involved lived experience folks, child care providers. The advisory team listened and asked questions of the providers.
