Goal 1: Bring Up Nebraska partners will co-create community-driven strategies together with young people, parents, families, caregivers, and other community members to advance prevention and promote well-being.


Objective 1: Bring Up Nebraska Network community partners—youth, parents, and caregivers—are engaged in every stage of prevention strategy design and implementation, sharing decision-making to ensure programs reflect their priorities.

STRG-1018 By December 2026, 100% of Bring Up Nebraska Network Community Collaboratives have a local council or sub-committee(s) that includes youth, young adults, parents, and/or caregivers as active members, and have a plan to co-create prevention strategies.
STRG-1061 By April 2026, collect and analyze Bring Up Nebraska Network participation and engagement data to assess the strength and reach of collaborative partnerships.
STRG-1062 By June 2026, 80% of Bring Up Nebraska partners will know and use the Leadership and Engagement Opportunities Database, which provides opportunities, training, and event calendars for consistent network engagement.
STRG-1063 By April 2024, Bring Up Nebraska partners establish and adopt compensation and recognition practices that value the time, expertise and contributions of community members engaged in collaborative work.
STRG-1064 By December 2027, secure funding and resources for all Community Collaboratives to support youth leadership pathways, including CYI councils, advisory committees, and peer-led programs.
STRG-1091 By December 2026, 90% of community partners participating in co-design at state and local levels will be trained and equipped with the tools and resources necessary to collaborate effectively and co-develop prevention strategies.
